Grand theft auto V shuttering lag

Hi.I recently downloaded grand theft auto.My computer is not a very good one , so I got the graphics as low as i can.Hardly , i can reach 50+ fps constantly.But when i am driving , i have shuttering lag.In the first 5 minutes of gameplay,i can drive fine with good fps.But after that minutes , it lags just when i drive.

My pc specs are: 

I3 3250

nVidia gt 630

and 4gb of ram..

i know that one of the biggest problems its the ram , but i want to know is there is any solution to fix it without buying ram.

Look at your cpu and Gpu temperatures. If the fps is fine for a couple mintes and then suddenly lowers, it may be a overheating component. Also i think that the problem may be your cpu, because the game has a lot of ai and a dual core just isn't up to the task. But look at the temps first with something like a cpuid hardware info.

Hey , that shuttering problem is kinda of easy to fix :

 

- Go on nvidia control panel and click on Manage 3D Settings its in the first menu ,

then click on Program Setting , then find you gtav.exe or what ever its called and add it to the list and from there

just turn off all the features considering i don't know if u either have a gt 630m or gt 630 if you do have gt 630 "2 gb" then try changing the ram or your cpu.

I have a gt 630 2 gb and I said in the topic that i am not going to upgrade anything and i am trying to find if there is any solution.

The GT 630 should never be gamed on, as for the 4 GB of RAM thats not enough either. You dont have a powerful enough PC in general to run GTA 5. However the Core i3 is good enough. 4 more GB of RAM and atleast a GT 1030 would be fine to run GTA 5

I saw the same thing you're describing when I tried playing GTA V on my dad's PC. I noticed that when the lag/stuttering started happening the RAM was quite full (3.5GB and more - most noticable above 3.8GB used), but when the game was running smoothly RAM usage was less than 3GB. The PC also had 4GB RAM, but the CPU and GPU were weaker (2 x single core with HT - Intel Xeon 3GHz CPUs from 2004 and a 9500GT 1GB). My PC on the other hand had about the same GPU as you and a Celeron G530 2.4GHz, but with 8GB RAM and didn't have this problem.

Since you said you don't want to upgrade, then maybe try seeing what uses RAM and try to free it up as much as you can. I remeber there was something for playing GTA V on less RAM, but can't exactly remember what it was. If I remember, I'll let you know. Can't think of anything else really.

Lack of RAM if your problem, game cant allocate enough data on 4GB for a smooth experience, i have the same issue but with 8GB which is getting maxed out where games want more memory.
