Hey,

 

I'm sure we will have loads of benchmarks after the Windows 10 patch is released for the recent Intel CPU vulnerabilities, but I did do one on my own, which I thought I'd share.

Since I spend a lot of time on this game, I felt like running the benchmark before/after installing the update, just to see how it would affect the game on my PC.

I did two runs before, and two runs after the patch, then averaged them.

My system specs are:

• i5-6400
• B250 board
• 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz dual channel
• 4GB GTX960 (OC'd as much as I could in Afterburner)

I ran the game at a mixture of normal/high settings at 1280x720 to guarantee that I have a CPU bottleneck the whole time (GPU usage was ~50%).

 

As you can see, there is definitely a consistent slowdown after the patch, however it's nothing significant, a couple FPS at most, while being well above 100.

As far as I know, the patch is supposed to be rolling out at the 9th of this month.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

They released an "emergency" update on January 3rd. Not sure if it is just a temporary mitigation or a full patch.

Alright so, seems like they did a small update but I doubt that it's the full patch.
