Newbie - Ram Question

Hi there!

I'm new to pc building and very close to being done purchasing everything for my first build. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/chwr9W

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the ram I bought will work well with my cpu/board?  Since pcpartpicker didn't detect any incompatibilities I went ahead and bought it but now I am having doubts...I am seeing posts of people that say they can't get the ram to max speed?  What should I do?

Thanks!!

Your mobo supports up to 3200 MHz, but your cpu only supports up to 2667 MHz.

It will work, but at 2667 MHz so its a bit of a waste.

You can usually find what cpu and mobo supports from their manufacturers sites, Asus and amd in this case.

''Daddy CumTits 2.0'' (pc):

CPU - Intel i7 8700k

GPU - Asus Strix 1080 8gb

RAM - 2x8gb Corsair Vengance

MOBO - Asus Prime Z370-p

PSU - Corsair RM750x

2667mhz is just what's officially supported and not a limit. Intel does the same thing--disregard that spec.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

As he said, I would just update to the lastest BIOS before trying anything. And drivers, like chipset etc
