Is HDMI better than Display port for gaming?

Vincent123

Hi, currently I have a monitor hooked up to my gtx 1080 and I am using display port. Would you say that HDMI is better for gaming or it doesn’t make a difference?

i have the PB287Q 4K 60 Hertz.

It really does not make a difference. But from what I know, Display Port is more advanced and powerful, or something along the lines of that.

It doesn't make a worlds differenct imo.

DP has more features than HDMI like daisychanning.

Different revisions have more bandwidth. But no. I doesn't make a difference.

No it is the other way around usually display port is better if you need a crazy high resolution or refresh rate.

You should use displayport because that monitor doesn't have HDMI 2.0 so you would only be able to run 4k 30Hz with HDMI.

If it had HDMI 2.0 then there would be 0 difference because both are digital.
