Just wondering if the graphics card will be able to fit into the fast PCIe lane on the motherboard in this case as the CPU cooler and GPU are both quite large

Holy fuck you can fit a truck in that case, let alone your GPU

I highly recommend downsizing your case (coming from a guy with a large case) as most of the space is wasted, especially if youre not going to use all those hard drive cages.

I got 70Cº max temp on half hour of full load stressing the i7 8700 last night using the Hyper 212X I'd say that Noctua's highest end air cooler is over kill.

I didnt even notice it was the non K...

Yeah the D15 is overkill. Can easily spend less than half the money and not lose any performance.

One, if you're getting a non-K 8700 then get a Cryorig H7 or some other much less beefy cooler. You can't OC your CPU, so don't spend a ton of cooling. The H7 will keep an 8700 cool and quiet. You can also get a cheaper motherboard since you don't need that high-end of a board since you can't OC.

With the money you saved on a cooler, see if you can jump for faster memory.

I highly, highly doubt you will be able to utilise the extra speed granted by using an NVMe SSD. Save a ton of money and get something like a 500GB A-DATA SU800 or Crucial MX300, or similar.

That case seems pretty crappy for such a high-end system. At least get something decently well-built, such as a Fractal Design Define series or NZXT S340.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

several people have mentioned the cooler to me, so besides cryorig coolers do you have any suggestions for silent coolers and as for the case I kinda agree but have yet to find a tower that can fit the GPU that i liked the look of within my budget of around $180

I mean, there's literally nothing better than the H7 for the majority of air coolers up until you get to Noctua and be Quiet! price tags. You don't need a cooler that beefy for your CPU though, which is why I suggested the H7, which I own and can recommend for CPUs that aren't my OC'd 1700 xD

It's very quiet, it hardly makes any noise under full load, if that bothers you.
