1700 Premiere Pro Optimisation

Go to solution Solved by GDRRiley,

you should get to 3.8-4.0 maybe 4.1 if your lucky.

maybe a 20-30%  reduction, render times of not often tested but you may be able to find a review that has one

Alright lads, I want to get this sorted, so I have a 1700 and I edit in Premiere Pro CC. Footage is UHD24p @ 100mbps. My render times are badddddddd. Like a 5 minute video at a a 50mbps UHD24p output is around a 12-15 minute render time.

It's at stock clock on a B350-M Mortar board from MSI and on an AMD fx-6300 cooler (don't ask xD Sh happens)

Anyway, I am planning on going for an X370 board and a thicc AIO/Phatt toweerrrr cooler in early 2018.

As an experienced OC, I AM FULLY AWARE of the Silicon Lottery, got lucky with my 3930K, but what kind of pool of speeds do decent OCers get on 1700 with teh cooler type above?

I am aware that PP render times are linked to clock speeds, and 3GHz without a lot of thermal room to Turbo is SUBoptimal at the very least.

But my questions are these:

How much of a bump in speeds will I see going from 3GHz to around 4GHz if possible?

Is a near enough 4GHz speed even viable?

Any help appreciated <3
