lenovo yoga died from usb (chromebook)

I had the lenovo yoga 11e for school. In the morning, I use finch robots to learn about computer science. Last thursday, I pluged my finch into the laptop, after a minute it died. Today, I plugged my phone into the port on the same side, and it died. Please explain this to me.
