Well, he is indeed the king of keybinds & macro's.

Tbh taran deserves his own t-shirt design for that. It's christmas soon so it would be a great gift for him imo :)

So how's the compatibility for programs that aren't officially supported?

Can I map it through hotkeys?

I REALLY wish it had MIDI command support.

This thing looks great, but isn't officially supported by vMix (or any high-end vision mixing software really, I know their target demo is gamers, but this thing would do KILLER in the broadcast market if they supported what we use.)

Because when you get efficient enough with the keyboard your hand is almost never on the mouse :)

Taran suffers from RSI, and that mouse is the only one that doesn't aggravate it. I'm sure he'd use a mouse with more buttons if he could :P

I actually bought one of those mechanical numberpads for work, rapidly typing long numbers on cheap ruined keybaords was no fun

Or maybe he could get something with the duration/analog pressure of the key.

What I mean is, the production software I use, vMix, is enabled to take advantage of MIDI controllers and various commands. You can plug in a standard MIDI controller and map each button, slider, knob, etc.

What you said in the third line is exactly what we typically use them for actually. Each slider on our MIDI controller adjusts a separate audio channel from our interface, while the knobs adjust gain, then we use the standard buttons for hotkeys and such. We've used other MIDI controllers for stuff like scrubbing through instant replay and analog control over transitions.

I'll stick to my keyboard shortcuts, but that might also work for hardcore WoW players. 

 

also If linus dies the channel needs to go to Taran, he already credits himself 4 times.

Have you seen what photographers are doing with the behringer X touch mini & midi2lr? What more can be done?! Could we use midi inputs for a home brew stream deck?
