Hey ,

so i bought a asus strix 1080ti oc .I expected like a fucking beast ( i was upgrading from 750ti) .

but i have it for 1 week already and beside the mining results i am not impressed at all .

When i watch those benchmarks on yt i see "Ultra settings -blbla - 60fps - 4k"

I have a 1080p monitor at 144hz and i dont even get 60 fps on lowest settings in PUBG and i cant play Max settings in gta without frame drops

Those are my main games (btw my 750ti reached 250fps+ on lowest settings in CSGO and i get 160fps on lowest settings with 1080ti)

i dont use OC mode in gaming

sorry for my noobish english and knowing, please show merci, i dont need arrogant answers

thanks :)

i5 7600k

1080ti

8gb

You might need to do the usual like.

-Checking the power delivery with Rivastatictuner

-Make sure your psu power is adequate

-Check the temperature of the gpu to make sure its not throttling down

-Check the pcie power cable on your gpu

-Not running your gpu in x4 ( very rare to happen unless u dont know what u are doing i mean even though u have no idea its still very rare to happen )

-Clean install the driver using DDU+safe mode

first off, CPU bottlneck, secondly did you do a clean install of the drivers?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

CPU Bottleneck, you do not pair a GTX 1080 Ti with a shitty 4c/4t CPU.

nVidia Clearly states the need of 16gb of System RAM for a 1080 Ti

Then again it is underperforming even more than it should, you probably have old drivers left overs, DDU in safe mode and reinstall the drivers fresh new.

Have a friend that did the same thing, keep telling him to upgrade stuff. Pubg will use all 8 gigs of ram, need to monitor the system specs and see whats being pegged/used. Also need a clean install of drivers.

Well someone saying it runs fine doesn't mean they know what to look for.

That why monitoring your hardware will tell you exactly what the pc is doing. Run task manager in the back ground and set the refresh rate to slow. Bet the ram would be the issue in pubg, should still see higher fps regardless but that may be a cpu issue added on to that.

If you are playing it and seeing that it could contribute. Knowing the gpu and cpu usage also helps.
