Can't hide Office Upload Center

I seem to be facing a bug in Office Upload Center. Every time I attempt to hide the icon in the notification area, the setting is reset and it won't remove the icon. The thing is that all the other settings are saved when I close the settings window. Any idea whats going on?

do you want to remove it? if so.

 

1. Run msconfig.exe and disable the startup

 

or

 

2. Search the registry for "OfficeSyncProcess" and remove the key in the run folder. 

 

Key = HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OfficeSyncProcess
