Also, what do you think of the XPS 13 i5-8250U?

Excellent laptop, if you don't mind the bottom placed webcam

So far I have been looking into purchasing the Inspiron 13 7000 (7370) i7-8550U varient:

http://www.dell.com/au/business/p/inspiron-13-7370-laptop/pd?oc=a520972au&model_id=inspiron-13-7370-laptop

I will probably be using this mostly for word processing and general 3D model viewing for 3D printing. I will use the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite on this machine as well but do not expect exceptional performance.

Are there any better options with 16GB of RAM?

My ideal laptop would be an i5-8250U with 16GB of RAM and 256-512GB SSD (NVME) storage.

What are your thoughts on this laptop overall? Design, features, price? Thanks in advance!

Yeah I've watched his videos but the models are either above $1800AUD which i'd rather not buy or are not available.

Although there might be some I have missed, thanks for the prompt.

Yeah their good but way out of my price range and offer up to 8GB of RAM. The only reason I consider this laptop is because its on sale here.

No battery life, personally I'll avoid

Look for laptops with KB-R CPU (8250U,8550U) or HQ CPU and with decent battery life. Maybe you can take a look at Zenbooks. RAM can be upgraded after purchase.

Desktop specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB Gigabyte B550M DS3H mATX

Asrock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6700 XT Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8Gx2) 3600MHz CL18 Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Montech Century 850W Gold Tecware Nexus Air (Black) ATX Mid Tower

Yeah im definately in the game for those kaby lake refresh CPUs but im struggling to find something with good battery life as well, Dell has a good offering but they all seem a bit too pricey.

Thanks for your help

Just reopening this thread, it is not upgradable unfortunately. The RAM is soldered to the board...

This is a real set back for my decision, what other options do I have?
