A tunnel through a connection broker like Hurricane Electric to give you an IPv6 address.

VPN back home?

goto network adapter right click then select properties

do same on the specific network icon for ip4 network

click install

select 6to4 or 4to6 adapter

do same on server

been built in to windows since atleast winxp

ip6 been out for over 20 years just was no need of its addressing space till explosion of mobile broadband users(smart phones)

Okay so I found a gateway on OS X but it says cable not connected and I can't configure it. But as far as I understand it I need to have Direct access to Both IPv4 and IPv6 and no NAT or Gateway so this would not work. I´m currently in a IPv4 Only Network (at work) and try to connect to a IPv6 Network (lets call it IPv6 only since IPv4 through DS-Lite dose nothing for connection from the outside)

Yah, with a tunnel broker you get an IPv6 tunnel over the IPv4 network so you can get back to the IPv6 only computer.

Another option would be to get a VPS that has IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity and setup a VPN connection from the IPv6 node to the VPS and then VPN from the IPv4 node to the VPS as well and use that as an intermediary device.

What router do you have? I'll see if I can find some guides for setting up a Hurricane Electric tunnel.

Edit:

You should be able to do it natively iOS to Linux, let me see if I can find guides for that as well.

Alright, there should be a way to do native iOS to Linux. I see plenty of Ubuntu guides so I'm sure I can find something for unRaid as well.

I am sorry but my knowledge in regards of network adapters seems to not be sufficient enough to understand what you are trying to tell me

I am also looking for a solution to connect via my smartphone (IPV4 Mobile Data) to the server so if you have Ideas

I got sucked into long meetings today. I'll try to send you some guides in a few hours.

Search "Hurricane Electric OS X tunnel config" and just give it a glance over, I'll try to write something up for you later.

If you want to give these a shot, let me know how they go.

https://www.brightbox.com/docs/guides/ipv6/macosx/

https://willscorner.net/?p=63

Try the first link/guide before touching the second one, if things work with the first then you should be good and can ignore the second.

I'm not an OS X person and don't have any Apple products to test it out on so I can't say for sure if it will work on the phone but if you've got a computer you can at least get something setup that way and tether the phone to the laptop perhaps as an intermediate.

Okay so I looked at the links and finally understood how this works. I was able to get everything going in HE and created the shell script. I was not able to get it running Though. I am not someone that does much in the console... so I ran every command on its own with sudo but this dose not seem to Work.

edit:

Did manage to run the shell script but no success!

edit:

Console Output:

(command run separately)
XXX-mbp:Desktop XXX$ sudo ifconfig gif0 create

U used create 6to4service and found it in my network adapters but it just says no cable connected and I can't put anything into the current address:

Nothing right now, I'm not familiar with Macs so it's probably something I'm just not seeing.

Let me do some more searching and hopefully I can find something soon.

do you have a windows like network adapters control panel screen?

as here microsoft allows right click to enter adapter properties

then shows a checkbox list fields

click install button it brings up a choice of things to add to adapter(6to4 is one of them)

you need this step before forwarding of data traffic can happen

i have minimal knowlwedge in apple or linux(cannot afford apple and my memory way better with gui's then cmd scripts as my spelling suxs)

Question, when you said no success, did you mean you couldn't browse to ipv6.google.com?
