Whats the difference between the 2 ?

GirvanaWantsBinnieBalls

Ok... so question 1) What's the difference between these two ?

https://www.skroutz.gr/s/4245252/Corsair-CS-Series-650W-Modular-80-PLUS-Gold.html

https://www.skroutz.gr/s/11452924/Corsair-TX-M-Series-TX650M.html

i mean... same price , 650w , semi modular.. whats going on here?

2) it wouldnt really favor my budget but im also considering to buy this https://www.skroutz.gr/s/7593714/Corsair-RMx-Series-650X.html

but is 15 bucks worth the full modular from semi modular?

3 )Also, i bought a used msi gtx1070  gaming X today and the guy told me that 550w might be ok provided that the psu will be good quality like corsair , but he told me if i want to be sure i should get a 650 w ... so here i am asking 3 questions in total.

TXM and RMX are better series than the CSM series. Of course the RMX has the advantage of being fully modular and having a 'zero RPM mode'.

Basically, RMX > TXM > CSM.

The 550W version of either of these will be very much adequate too.

(By the way. TXM grey label are a newer series than CSM green label, store just hasn't changed the prices to reflect this or wont)

1. the difference is '80 plus' certification. i, personally, do not put my hands on anything that is NOT certified but that's your preference

EDIT:oops i didn't see that they're both 80 plus certified

2. modular vs semi modular is a highly personal choice. if cable management is a big issue for you, then get  the semi modular because things will look a lot neater inside your case. non modular will come with a big jumble of cables.

3. 550w should be just fine if you're not overclocking. but to be safe, a little higher would be better.

What are you talking about, they have the exact same 80 Plus Gold certification.

A build with a 1070, all overclocked will draw well under 450W

:)

Te TX-M is the same as the CS-M except the TX-M has improved hold up time (16ms vs. 12ms) and all Japanese capacitors.  Also, the TX-M is rated at 50°C vs. 40°C.

The TX-M replaced the CS-M in the Corsair line up.

The RMx is better in many respects.  For example:  the RMx is rated at 50°C, has a Zero RPM mode and is fully modular.
