24" GSYNC or 27" Non GSYNC

TRETT

Hey, looking for some feedback on this monitor choice. Here is what I am looking at:

AOC AGON AG241QG 24" GSYNC

or

AOC AGON AG271QX 27" NON GSYNC

I  want to know peoples thoughts on whether 24-inch GSYNC is going to be more beneficial than a couple of extra inches of screen. I am going to use this predominantly for gaming, however, I am soon to start a game art design course where productivity will become a factor. For this reason, I am wondering if a 27-inch is worth getting and dropping the GSYNC feature.

I am currently rocking a GTX 1080 and I7 7700k 16GB of RAM.

Anyone who has an opinion or experience is welcome to comment, I am hoping to order a monitor tonight so the sooner the response the happier!

Thank you

G-sync is awesome for gaming and now that I have one I will not buy a monitor without it. However, it is up to you to decide if you really need a large screen for productivity.

With g-sync, your gpu and monitor are essentially synced. So if your gpu puts out 70fps the monitor will automatically shift down to 70hz. It would make everything alot smoother and reduce any tearing.

Also I have a 23in monitor and it still seems huge to me.

Do you think it reduces stuttering well? I do not see much tearing at the moment and so that is not such a large factor.

Thank you for explaining, as stated above, more concerned about stuttering, is it a large difference?

If your monitor stutters, it most probably will make the game near to unplayable, so I would say its a large difference.

Also g-sync will make your computer usage alot smoother.

Thanks for the feedback, I have ordered the GSYNC variant as I spend a lot of time playing games and I will not be downgrading with the 24" as that is the same size as all my previous monitors.
