Hello everyone. I'm looking to get some peripherals for Black Friday.

I'm really looking at Corsair's K70/K95 and I'd like my peripherals to match so I'm looking at the M65 pro.

But I hear alot about it being a badly made "gamers mouse" and not worth the money. Is that true? Like I said, I'd really like all the peripherals to be the same brand. And I need backlighting due to a dark room(not to mention I like it lol) so I really want everything to be RGB.

And if we have some keyboard enthusiasts here too I'd like opinions on their RGB keyboards too. K70/95. Also opinions on their rgb mouse pad too.

Thanks.

For the mouse:

Games: (Battlefield 1, Titanfall series, Adventure games like Skyrim, etc)

Hand Preference: (Right)

Budget: ($60 max)

Hand Size: ( 17.7cm)

Grip: (My guess is palm. Just basic, lol.)

Weight: (Medium/Heavy. Don't like light mice.)

Sensitivity: (Low/medium. Don't like high sensitivity)

Additional Details: (NA)

I'm posting this on a few different sites to try and get a broader spectrum of opinions.

Thank you!

If you are really a palm grip you will hate the m65. It is missing a key part of the palm rest and will dig into your hand at least in my experience. As an alternative for a mouse I highly recommend the G502 Logitech mouse. Best mouse I have ever used and it still performs and looks like the day I got it a year and a half ago.

The reviews I found on reddit are the exact opposite. They say that it causes cramping for a lot of people using a claw grip and works perfect for hybrid or full out palm. Hmm...

I have the M65 Pro, and it's the worst mouse I've ever used. By a quite large margin. I would put it about on the level of a 10 year old bundled Dell mouse in terms of the overall experience.

For casual gaming, the Corsair Glaive should be fine

I wouldn't worry about having peripherals from the same brand. You won't even notice they're different after a few days. I used to think that, but then I came to the realization that some companies products are simply better.

That said, I wouldn't get the K70. The G.Skill KM780 is better made, has more features, and is often considerably cheaper.

Most people like light mice, so if that's the case then that should be fine. I'll also throw the Thermaltake Level 10 M out there. It's a little weightier, but much more solid than most mice, and IMO has better switches.

Could you possibly elaborate? I have never found a product with more hate/love than this mouse.

I just like the fact that I can order them all from the same place and that the software is the same for all. I see the software as fairly major when everything is RGB.

I heard that the M65 is extremely heavy, not light.

One of the main reasons I'm looking at Corsair is because of the Black Friday sale. I'm hoping for it to be good. We'll see. After that I'm very open to other brands although even now I am open to them.

Too sharp edges in the rear of the mouse, where your palm sits, the curve on the right side of the mouse forces the pinky and ring finger together (this does not happen on my G303), the sniper button is useless and gets in the way all the time, the side buttons are too narrow (an attempt at giving space for the thumb?), the left and right click is a part of the shell, thus vibrating the entire thing when clicked, and the steps on the scroll wheel feel very poorly defined.

:)

Thanks for the info.

Would you happen to know your hand size? I was talking to someone with just about the same sized hand as me and he did not mention the sharp edges.

The sniper button seems fairly useless as originally binded but I could see it being useful as a melee button perhaps?

The side buttons and wheel are both things that people have mentioned but never said were close to deal breakers.

As for the left and right click's being part of the shell, every mouse I've used is like that and I never noticed a thing. Although I may on a mouse like this.

Thank you again for explaining!

18,5 cm / 9 cm.

The sniper button is placed exactly where the thumb is supposed to sit. Meaning you'll put pressure on it, and click it accidentally.

No problem. Did you check out the Glaive?

My hand is 17.7/10 so it's fairly close. I wonder..

Yeah, I'm not sure how well that would work. Could take some major time getting used to it and not accidentally pressing it.

I did check out the Glaive, looks good to me! It really all depends on what's actually on sale I guess. We'll have to see!

Has a maximum budget of $60. Wants a Corsair K70 or K95, and an M65 Pro mouse. xD

Just kidding! Best of luck getting all that for $60.

I meant just the mouse for $60. :)

And in the end the mouse should be closer to $30 if the sales are good. If I end up with it.

If you do not mind buying a refurbished mouse, you can save even more.

Just wait, though. There should be some much better deals soon with a promo code.

Best of luck to you!

I have an M65 PRO RGB and even though I tend to palm grip I love it. Only problem I can see with it is that that textured finish will likely wear off after a year or two of use (same thing happened to my M40), but it's not even close to being a deal-breaker to me.

Yep, waiting on that promo code! I was told by Corsair that it would be this morning, but it was delayed. I'm hoping for tonight or tomorrow morning but we'll see. Otherwise, their refurbished options seem great. And come with a warranty.
