just upgraded my HDD ps3 for GT6

sup guys

 

my ps3 originally had a 40GB hard drive

and map loads lasted over 3 minutes !

 

now with a 500GB WD black loads lasts about 10+ seconds

 

 

just wanted give out a heads up for any one who has a old HD

If your grave doesn't say "rest in peace" on it You are automatically drafted into the skeleton war.

I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!

I'm not surprised. HDDs have gotten much speed increases especially with random I/O with denser platters and better controllers. More speed is much better.

Yeah, the default HDD in the PS3 is pretty bad.

 

 

SSD :D :D

 

Unfortunately, SSDs don't really perform that well on the PS3. There's only one game which benefits much from having one - Gran Turismo 5. Otherwise they perform pretty much identically as a normal HDD. Still better than the default HDD though.
