Is 360mm radiator overkill for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D?

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask for your help and opinion on this build.

I play for now at 24'5 144hz 1080p later 27' 165hz 1440p

https://pt.pcpartpicker.com/list/vnXzTY

Is the 240 mm version of the AIO enought or should i get the 360mm?

My office is in the attic and on summer it can get a bit hot like 30ºC (86ºF) im worried about the temps of the cpu.

Is the 7800xt enought or should i get the 7900GRE? I was also thinking about the 4070ti super but i dont think is worth the price for what I would use it for.

Tell me what you think and thank you in advance guys!

Happy gaming ❤️

Budget (including currency): 1700€ but flexible

Country: Portugal

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CS2 main game at 1280x960 , Microsoft Flight, RDR2, games like tarkov

You dont even need a thermalright peerless assasin 120 which is a 33$ cooler.

Ill see to do a revision because you can have a 7900xt in there with MINOR adjustments

What do you mean?

I know i can get a better GPU but is it really worth it for the tipe of games i wanna and will play?

Better gpu is worth it and cs2 likes nvidia more. Its of course more of a placebo effect but its better with 4070s than 7900gre.

Yes and yes. The larger AIO should result in quieter more efficient operation.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

So for 40€ more you are saying to go with the 360mm correct? 😄

You didn't indicate any issues with price. Besides there are a number of decent 360 A-RGB AIO at more reasonable prices.

I use an Noctua NH-D15 with my overclocked 7700x ( same wattage as a stock 7800X3D ).

I have both fans set to a locked 25% fan speed. Its completely silent and keeps my CPU more than cool enough without any noise.

AM5 CPU's are extremely efficient.

A cheap aircooler like the Peerless Asasssin SE120 is MORE than enough.

Here is a video showing the 7800X3D vs intels 14900k in ACC.   Intel is drawing 200w+ while the 7800X3D is at 55w and producing more FPS ( Right side of the screen )  Efficiency baby! 😄

That one costs the same as the AIO Lian Li GALAHAD II 240mm tho 😕

Confirming what others are saying, a $35 air cooler is all you need for this chip. Funds should otherwise be put into things that will actually make a difference.

(air cooled 7800x3D owner)

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2

Ryzen 7 5800x - XFX RX6600 - Asus STRIX B550i - 32GB DDR4-3200CL14 - Corsair SF750 - Lian Li O11 Mini - EK 360 AIO - Asus PG348Q

No air based cooler can cool below the ambient temperature.

Good air towers are at least as good as 240 AIO.

Your 1TB SSD is quite expensive. I'd get a 2TB for not much more (just bought a 4TB WD SN850X for 200).

The 7900gre seems to be the most afordable option, i dont see the worth of paying more 300€ for the 7900xt or 4070ti super
