EATX CASE

G9000

Hi guys Noob here,

This is my first time buying Eatx motherboard ( Asus Rampage Extreme VI )

It has 12 inch x 10.9 inch ( 30.5 cm x 27.7 cm )

Can a case like ECLIPSE P400S TEMPERED GLASS fit the motherboard? (E-ATX *(up to 272mm wide, cannot use rubber grommets)

does 5mm make any difference and can the motherboard fit it?

Nope.

P400S won't fit EATX and gosh don't put the x299 room heater in there.

Look for Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

You might be surprised what cases can fit an eatx board. Even if they don't list eatx compatibility any atx compatible case with enough vertical and horizontal room will fit a motherboard that size. EATX uses the same mounting points as ATX (with a few extra) so the real question is whether or not you are willing to not use a few mounting points on the right side of the motherboard.

Regardless though it might be easier to just get a case that comes compatible with EATX

Personally I have an eatx board in the NZXT S340

Agree'd.

My board is ATX(not even full size ATX, only 8.8inches wide) and there isn't that much room left in it, I kinda call BS on an e-atx board fitting in it lol.

Sure just a minute, I'll put them on your profile. I also got the EVGA SR2 into the same case but I took it out for practicality reasons

You could put it in the Meshify C with some minor modding like Bitwit did

A 5mm difference makes about 5mm of difference. the mounting holes are the same. so if you have the physical space (something that wouldn't be present due to case geometry in something like the Fractal Meshify C TG) then it will work. So yes, the P400 can house an EATX board just fine since there is no width-wise limitations to be had there. You may not get the full use of your grommets, but that likely wouldn't be a big deal if you route your cables before installing the motherboard.

As for the Meshify C you CAN mod it by just pushing the metal till it bends.

Personally that doesnt qualify as "modding" so much as "smacking it till it works" :D
