[Upgrading from 8350fx too intel build]

Exoriya

I plan on maybe upgrading my computer. I was thinking of getting a nice oled or full array type of TV. However, my computer has been acting up lately with randomly freezing out of no where. Can't move mouse, task manager, nothing. Only way is restarting. I haven't experienced it yet as of now. But its really rare. But I need to upgrade either way. So, here is my current build:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor  ($114.29 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  ($24.39 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($80.19 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card  ($459.89 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($92.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $836.73

The build i'm upgrading too:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor  ($414.89 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: NZXT - Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($148.89 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus - ROG MAXIMUS X HERO (WI-FI AC) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($259.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory  ($188.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung - 960 PRO 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($289.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair - 750D ATX Full Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Mouse: Razer - DeathAdder Elite Wired Optical Mouse  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1452.73

I currently have on-hand on my current build the Power Supply and Graphic Card gtx 1070 FTW. I wanted to go 7700k since i hear good things about it, but i'd like to hear if maybe going to the newer generation is better.

Most items is probably over-kill, but w/e xD. I'm mainly looking for the price of 1.500$.

Any help in improving this would be appreciated !!

Yeahh, I literally just checked the benchmarks. I thought the 7700k was still somewhat better, but seems that's not the case. I might drop the fans, the current fans i have I bought, and they sometimes get super loud. But at least 2 of them isn't plugged in so the mobo can control them, so they are always at 100% :/. So prob thats why heh heh.

Your case comes with fans already, and even if they didnt 5 would be overkill..

Didn't think that It would, i'm not that familiar with how it goes. lol. I was just going to put 2 of the 5 onto the cpu cooler, 2 in front, and 1 in back. No idea if the case fans that come with the case is good or not. in terms of it being loud or w/e.

mmm, I might still use it for a second PC. If I upgrade, I just need to buy myself a cheap gpu, psu, and case. lol. Then might sell or trade the whole thing. I don't know yet.
