Graphics card choice

I want to create a gaming rig that I can then take to uni and use for gaming and productivity. I was thinking of buying a ryzen 3, motherboard and ram bundle but i have no clue what go get for a gpu. I was thinking maybe between 1050,1060 or 1070. my budget is around 500 but deffo flexible. Any advice guys?

well dont buy a combo man your getting ripped of first of all chose the parts ya self and depends on what your gunna be doing so what are u gunna be doing thats how we can chose a gpu

You can also pick up a i3 8100, check the benchmarks versus an overclocked R3 1200 and see which fits your use.

You can get 2x8GB of 3000MHz RAM for a few bucks more.

Swap the PSU for a CX(2017) version

CPU cooler is not needed, stock cooler more than fine.

oh mb wrong build lamo made that one 1 year ago mb XDDD well factor still remains that buying a bundle is overpriced. aswell as your recommendations are shaving off a few bucks here and there

I am not sure when you say you have 500 you mean for your entire setup. If you are like me (student) probably the latter one with the entire setup. I would say buy a HP Compaq 6300 with i5 3470 and put it in a 1050 ( best price to performance). Which in US would could you about ~$220. You can then get a 27" curved display from Sceptre for about 130. Then 50 dollar for some nice mechanical keyboard. 50 for mouse. Use the last 50 for a nice comfy office chair from staples. Assuming you have a table.

My total budget is 500 and I live in the uk. I also look forward to studying medicine next year so kinda want to have a two in one productivity and gaming setup @FrozenLava

Get a 1060 6Gb... it's so good for 1080p ultra/High graphic settings. Got mine for $299 out the door.

@Tom is a Door Never advise a A320 chipset motherboard, all of them are junk and can't overclock either the CPU or the memory rendering Ryzen far too slow to make sense over getting the Pentium G4560.
