1070 or 1070 Ti?

xDyl

Confused on which GPU to buy for my new PC.

I currently have a 1080p 32" (16:9, don't judge me it was a present) monitor, but I'm hoping that I'll get a S2716DG for my birthday or something. So, to future-proof I want a higher-end GPU.

I want to play 1440p at V.H. or so when I get that new monitor, so is the 1070 Ti worth it over the 1070?

Alternatively, I could just get a 1050 Ti and upgrade later, but it would be very unbalanced with an 8700K lol.

Although I'm starting out at 1080p for a while, wouldn't do 1440p for a bit and I play Stardew Valley, G-mod, BeamNG.drive, ETS2, and games like that so IDK lol

The correct answer is Vega 56(Whenever AIB cards launch and it should be MSRP around Black Friday hopefully)

And a 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display for the same price, instead of having to live with a TN panel

My issue is that Vega is not supported for what I want to do yet, maybe eventually but want to stick with NVIDIA. Thanks for your opinion though.

What programming can't use Vega?

Either way I'd go for IPS over Adaptive Sync any day at the same price, I hardly ever even use the free-sync on my display.

You can also get a display with the same panel but worst stand from Pixio for $399*

That's not the reason. That use can't be talked about on this forum.
