My computer ran with the GPU well since I bought the PC until 2 hours ago. The problem showed when I played Overwatch while updating my Nvidia drivers. It was something like this:

I started downloading the drivers, played overwatch, the computer changed it's resolution to 1024x768@60, I went to the display settings and saw that all of a sudden my maximum resolution is 1024x768@60 (is was 2560x1440@144), so I restarted my PC, after restarting I could change my resolution to 2560x1440, but with 64 HZ only, and then I found out the my computer isn't detecting the 1080Ti for some reason (by getting 7 FPS (2K) IN CSGO), the monitor is still connected to the GPU, the power pins are connected perfectly, everything was exactly how it was 2 hours ago.

Help please!

Edit: I tried reinstalling the drivers, but when I tried to install them again, the installer failed, anf said that I have no hardware compatible with the driver, also, this is the information it gives me when I go to Display Adapters (in settings):

Get DDU, use that to uninstall the driver.

Download the latest drivers from the Nvidia website and install them.

And this time, leave it alone during installation.

Have you tried DDU? There's no point trying to install the drivers if they are fucked, you need to get rid of them first.

Latest updated driver is probably rubbish. Install an older one. Welcome to nvidia xD

Whenever I try to install the drivers now it tells me that the drivers failed to install.

Picture in 15 minutes, if needed.

Also, I did use DDU, I ran it and removed the drivers, I even restarted just in case.

you did not, because DDU is ran in windows safe mode...so you just won't ''restart it just in case'' that's not how it works...DO IT and stop asking.

Do you want it fixed or not?

I can't enter safe mode, because when I get to this screen UMyCg0D.jpg

my keyboard or mouse isn't functioning, I even tried to spam 4 and F4, but nothing happened.

Is there another way to boot into safe-mode while MY KEYBOARD IS FUNCTIONING?

if you use DDU, (install it and then run it, in windows) it should then take charge of your PC and ask for reboot into safe mode by itself and then it will pop a list of all the video drivers you have installed...check the boxes to EVERYTHING that is NVIDIA related and then let it rip...after that your PC will boot back to windows and windows will install a generic driver, then manually install nvidia driver and you'll be set to go.

Next time, DO NOT install nvidia drivers while running 3d applications or games...make sure you're on the desktop, doing nothing...and then install them.

You know, you will have better luck fixing it if you don't lie about what youve tried. I dont really see how that could benefit you.

The software said it's RECOMMENDED to be in safe mode, so I didn't think I HAD to.

Update: (All of this not in Safe Mode, because I can't go into Safe Mode) I openned the DDU, and first I went to- Options -> NVIDIA Specific Settings -and checked-> Remove C:\NVIDIA driver folders.

And then I pressed on the Clean and Restart, and when the computer booted back up, I tried to install the drivers, but it still didn't work, the same problem.

And when I go to my display adaptors, it still says this (and stuck at max 2560x1440@64):

Well yes because it hasn't installed the nvidia driver. It says "microsoft generic display driver" which is basically a generic thing that's very basic and is only enough to make the system useable, useable like in "i can see something and click on things".

At this point i just would stop bothering about it and do a windows 10 refresh, or just reformat the damn thing.

By creating a backup of all the files you need on another drive.

i cant believe this actually needs to be said, but obviously it does so im gonna reiterate it with bigger, bolder words.

DO NOT INSTALL NVIDIA  GRAPHICS DRIVERS WHILE RUNNING 3D APPLICATIONS OR GAMES LITERALLY ANYTHING AT ALL
