As I searched for other GTX 1080Ti FE 11GB's--it seems like that is the price that all of them are at right now. Probably due to the explosion of cryptocurrency or just the limited supply of this gpu?

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.

Why is this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9ZYWGX/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-11gb-founders-edition-video-card-900-1g611-2550-000 gpu overpriced since it should only be less than 800$ maybe cryptominers I don't know

They are basically a whole computer (ram, processor etc.)

The main components in a computer are also in a graphics card:

processor (gpu)

ram (gddr)

pcb

RGB LIGHTS

cooler

all gpus have a graphics processor and ram in them. so I have no idea what you are talking about. the processor inside the GPU is not the same as the CPU and cant be used as a CPU. and the ram is not ram that is used by a CPU, a CPU uses DDR ram not GDDR, the G in GDDR stand for graphics.

I was just saying that graphics cards are much more expensive than cases or power supplies or coolers or motherboards or cpus because they have so much in them.

he didnt ask why they are more experience related to other components. he asked why that specific component is so much when it was cheaper before.

He also didn't ask how to get one cheap... posts don't have to be exactly replying to the topic.
