So I started folding again...

I have a GTX 970... and suddenly remembered that I haven't folded for a while, like months. So I felt like I should start up again, at least get to the next badge (10 million points iirc?)

Never realized that the GTX 970 is actually quite good at folding... I only started it up last night but I seem to be getting somewhere around 200k points per day. Much better than the 2 Radeon 6950's I used to have lol

I also like how it doesn't load my GPU 100% which equates to less heat being put out in my bedroom (I have way too many computers/stuff in here, it stays a little warmer than the rest of the house lol)

Pardon me, but what exactly is folding?

http://folding.stanford.edu/ its a piece of software that runs in the background and whenever you configure it to run it will use your if configured gpu and cpu to fold.

My GTX 1070 gets a tad better points per day but now I only run Boinc on my main system folding happens on other PCs.

Folding pins my GPU and CPU to 100% but thats because I set it to the max and use 4 folding slots, and I'm using a laptop...

Darn, the GTX970s use to get around 300k PPD.  Still, 200K PPD is not bad, though my high OC GTX960 can spit out over 200-220K PPD on a good day (being under Linux also helps a bit).
