Rx 470 ryzen 5 1500x good combo?

Last year i bought a rx 470 used for very cheap, with black friday almost here i am looking to buy a new cpu ram and mobo (current fx 6300, 8gb ram gigabyte mobo). I alrdy have ssd and hdd for boot and favorite compet games, am4 compatible 130tdp cooler, case and psu. The components i am currently thinking about are an ryzen 5 1500x, 16gb corsair mem 2800 mhz, and BIOSTAR B350GT5 mobo. What do you guys think, is this gonna be any good? Can in expect some fps boost in cpu intensive games (mostly pubg). Pls give me your opinion. I am looking to stay pretty low on budget if possible.

R5 1400 if that's cheaper. Otherwise good enough.

Yeah. The RX 470 is certainly more powerful than my R9 380 and that card is still very relevant. That CPU is more than enough to keep up too.

Its only 10 dollars cheaper. So i guess not worth the downgrade. Ill just eat a little less meat on my sandwiches for the next week or so :).

Steer clear from BIOSTAR motherboards, if possible. Get the cheapest ASRock B350 you can find.

Instead of getting the 1500X, I suggest you get the 1600, and you should be all set for PUBG.

 

Though PUBG just loves intel CPUs and nvidia GPUs. Since it runs on UE, nvidia has a distinct advantage.

Every b350 supports oc right? Cause i still plan on doing a littlz oc.

Yes, all B350 motherboards support overclocking. You should be able to hit 3.8 GHz on all cores with ease. Every 50 MHz you'll get past that is costly, in terms of voltage, which leads to higher thermals.

I could say Gigabyte, but it all comes down to luck more than anything else.

MSI has horrible Bios on all chipsets, and terrible VRMs on the budget boards

I am a big advocate of, if you are overclocking, to invest in the better motherboards.

 

ASUS STRIX B350 would be a great choice, and you can basically rule the motherboard out of the equation.

 

Especially if you are someone who doesn't upgrade for 5+ years at a time, it's a no brainer.
