Norton GHOST. Works great with things just like that.

No, it's not free

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

If it's a Samsung SSD, you can download this directly from their website. I'm not sure if this software will work with any other SSD brands

Quote me so I can reply back :)

it's less of a headache to just do a fresh install.

Intel i5-6600K@4.2GHz, 16GB Crucial DDR4-2133, Gigabyte Z170X-UD3, Be quiet shadow rock slim, Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC, Fractal design Integra M 550W, NZXT S340, Sandisk X110 128GB, WD black 750GB, Seagate momentus 160GB, HGST 160GB

not really.

I can close a drive/partition from GHOST, with 1 command, about 4 switches, and 15 minutes.

If its possible try fresh installation of Win 10 in the ssd. It makes sure none of the old junk transfers and unnecessarily consumes more disk space as well as bog down the ssd.

I recently did the same with my new ssd. Trust me, its the most efficient your system can be.

What if I did that but copied the old programs over that I need?

can't do that. programs have to be re-installed, because of .dlls and registry entries.

OK I'm currently moving most of the files from the new partition to an external drive so I can just clone the whole drive and delete the new partition from the SSD and delete the old c partition on the HDD

You can try Easeus ToDo

They offer a free version. You can download it from this link.

During installation though mind the bloatware that they try to install

You should be good with that

Am planning to migrate my SSD to an M.2 sometime this week - will post you with updates if you think that'd be helpful
