What power connector is this?

Oshino Shinobu

My sister is trying to find out what power connector this is, so she came to me. I can't find anything that looks similar (at least, not with a name), so I've turned to the forum. I assume it's for the trimmer (it will be for shearing livestock) that you can see the box for in the picture.

I've seen some similar plugs, but only ones that come straight from wall sockets, never with a transformer thing.

I'm thinking it's not too common as it's for farm equipment so likely a bit more physically beefy to prevent mud and such getting in there. I've seen similar connectors but never this one. Model number on the adaptor doesn't turn anything up either

I'm at a loss here. I was hoping that some of our older clippers would have something like that, but they don't. The model number doesn't bring any worthwhile results either so I'm guessing the connector is not only proprietary nor was it ever available for purchase through third-parties.

It could just be old, I can't even find any information on the trimmer, let alone the power adaptor.

Maybe just see if their service dept. can suggesting something.

Yeah, may end up contacting them to see if they have the information on it. The trimmer isn't even on their site anymore, so I guess it is an old model.

Yeah, maybe they can rig up an adapter for a small fee. Seems like it should be doable.

Probably just a standard connector with an alignment notch. Not like any PSU/kettle leads where it's really drawn out for all the specific use cases and power loads.

whats the actual issue with this one....

I mean if it just no longer works you would always just cut the plug off and Frankenstein something.. they have given you output specs and polarity information sooo it should be relativity easy to do with an aftermarket multi voltage transformer, some heat shrink and some crimps .... it wont look pretty but it should do the job ....

if however the plug is worn and no longer makes good contact that's a very different story. i have rebuilt some weird adapter plugs with a 3d printer but to be honest that's a full scale PITA.
