Help with motherboard not posting

I'm building my first system and I did a quick test before my graphics card arrives to see if my mobo and everything will post. But for the life of me, I could not get it to post and was wondering if I could get some insight on what I could do. My build is a Gigabyte Gaming 7 for the motherboard, Corsair Vengance ddr4 for the memory, an intel i7 7700k, a corsair rmx 750w, and for the monitor, I'm using a Viewsonic-gs. Now I think it may be a BIOS issue since I heard that most of the gaming 7's have the old bios on them and don't suport Kaby Lake. Would the incompatible bios cause the mobo not to post? I just want to make sure there's a good chance that could be the problem before I go and waste $33 on a crap celeron to flash the bios.

im pretty sure it should still post even if the BIOS is out of date as long as the CPU is supported. if its not supported at all i dont think it does

If you want to argue with me, and you probably will please PM me, no need to ruin threads becase you dont like how I am.

Yes if the current bios does not support said cpu it will not post. But make sure to reseat everything first in their slots. Unplug and replug everything. Even the cpu. Make sure ram to test different amounts of ram in the mobo slots. Try it without the gpu etc.

Could be the type of RAM you're using, (as in ECC memory or RAM speeds), but I doubt it.

Which Gigabyte gaming 7 ? Check the error code on the led.

The mobo is the GA-Z170X, rev.1.0, and I'm not sure what number the error codes were on the led, it flashed 2 error codes before staying on the final one, but I'll retest again when I get off work.

I've already tested the differen't slots of RAM and my gpu is still in the mail. It does power on and give error codes so I know it's not the psu.

That final one is the one you need to look up. The Z170 boards did need a BIOS update before they could power kaby lake processors so it could be that. Not sure if Gigabyte have a BIOS flash utility like Asus where you don't need anything but a power supply plugged in to update it.
