This is the first time I've ever encountered such an issue but, it seems that after getting the new Windows 10 version 20H2 update, there is great delay in almost every process. This includes opening apps and even using the START MENU! It takes my laptop, quite literally, 5 seconds to open the start menu or reopen any app I have in my task bar! I am posting this here with hopes to find a way to fix this issue, as not only is it very frustrating but it's also got some impact on my work which I do from home. BTW, I am using an Acer Predator Helios 300 of 2019.

Hey Everyone, I love my MacBook Pro 2017 - specs in my signature (since its part of the issue, it is the version with just 2 USB-C Ports), although I wouldn't mind one with higher specs - but that's a different discussion for another time. Brief Description of issue: Basically, I'm running into an issue where my MacBook is losing internet Wi-Fi connectivity when I use a dongle or a USB-C to A adapter. I think know what's causing it - according to other users on the internet, its due to the shielding (or lack there off) in the adapters. Its causing the signal to either short or bloc

I think I made a mistake in this purchase, but I bought a Chinese motherboard (Qiyida x79) in aliexpress along with an Intel Xeon E5-2640 and 16gb of Samsung ECC memory (1333mhz) So, this is the issues list: Clock not syncing on Windows (any windows since Windows XP, tried all versions) USB 3.0 Not working at all, only USB 2.0. Also, XMP Profile for my ram is unavailable or unable to find in that bios (that bios has more options than any bios I had in my life) I'll appreciate any kind of help.

Hi, I recently got my RTX 3070 and so far the performance has been less than anticipated, with fps on COD cold war being at around 90-110fps on any graphical settings (minus ray tracing, the frames drop to around 70-80) all on 1080p and the same on cyberpunk ( I have changed the config files to use more RAM and VRAM) and I have a constant 40-50 fps regardless of the settings, even if I enable ray tracing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, installed a fresh version of windows. Any solutions or suggestion to change about my rig ? specs CPU-Ryzen 5 2600 (oc to 4ghz

Long story short, my pc shuts down for unknown reason, monitor, keyboard, etc shuts down. Pc fans still running, motherboard, gpu, and other lighting still lit up. Tried basic fixes such as chaning the motherboards 2032 battery, restarting pc, turning the power off then back on, such and such, with no results. In (way) more detail: So, ive been having some issues with my PC lately. These issues started about 4-5 days ago, and have been active since. My computer seemingly freezes randomly and unexpectedly for unknown reason. My screen freeezes, headset shuts off, keyboard and mous

Just finished building a computer. When I went to play warzone with my friends I started having issues with everything being very blurry in game. After tweaking the settings for sharpness in the Nvidia control panel I hopped back on and my game looked like this. CPU is a Ryzen 7 3700X GPU is a Founders RTX 3070 All drivers are up to date and I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling them. 544658684_CallofDuty_ModernWarfare2020-12-1022-39-21_Trim.mp4

My monitor keeps turning on and off whenever a load (appliance e.g. vacuum cleaner) is on, but my PC still actually stays on. I actually recently bought a UPS (APC easyups 1000va) in hopes that the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately this wasn't the solution as it still turned on and off. I've tried researching various ways that I could mitigate this and here all I found is this thread below: Before I was using the UPS, I actually thought it might have been my AVR. It seems it really is just the crappy electrical lines here (From the PH btw).

I had bought a MSI MEG x570 UNIFY off of newegg a while ago and have been waiting to get a new 5000 series cpu (which i now have) for my new build. I was looking at reviews of it last night when i saw a negative review of a guy claiming with photos that his motherboard had shipped to him with some weird liquid on the sides of it. I checked mine and noticed it had the same. It's more of a dry oil or wax, but still wont come off. Is this normal? Can i still use this or should i return and replace it?

Hi, I have posted this issue before, but got no working responses so I thought I'd try one more time. I tried to download Linux on my Acer Aspire r3-131T-C1EW and when I went to boot after installing it, it boots to a screen saying no boot drive found. I went into boot options, and accidentally changed the boot order, as I thought I didn't change anything, then only realised when I closed it and saved it. I rebooted the computer, and this time it only booted to a black screen. I tried to open the BIOS and the Boot Menu again, but now I can't open neither. I have tried multiple things, includin

Hey just making this thread because I'm all out of ideas on what to do. The 5600X was too good of a deal to pass up, so I purchase a whole new setup as I was upgrading from an old i7 3770K. Initially I had issues with the Gskill Trident RGB RAM kit I received, it had been rated for 3600 MHz at CL18, yet it wasn't stable even with voltage tweaking, ended up having to clock out down the 3200 at CL18 until I get it RMA'd. Then, one day later while watching some vids on YouTube, my entire system suddenly shutdown. No BSOD, no error codes, no warning, it just los

I have this CPU spike issue that started in my computer about 2 years ago. What the CPU does is spike up about 10% in the middle of a game, a program or just running windows for no reason, then continues to run normally for another 2 minutes then does it again (the result of this spike usually drops me down to 2 fps for half a second then runs normal afterwards). I have wiped the same drive a few times, reinstalled windows, and just did the same thing onto an m.2 drive and it is still doing this. I originally had an i7 7700 processor with a z270killer sli/ac motherboard that had some D-Ram com

I've been having an issue with my dual monitor setup for a while now. With my previous setup I had to plug in my primary monitor after bootup to make it receive a signal. However I recently changed my motherboard due to failing usb ports and it seemed to have fixed the issue. But a day after it started acting weird as well, I haven't found a pattern yet in which I can consistently get it to receive a signal. At first the first 2nd dp port worked fine, then I had to switch it to the 2nd dp port and the 3rd after that for it to work. I can be busy with connecting my monitor 5 min for each bootup

I have a giant network on my farm, tons of repeaters, security cameras, tabletd, pos systems and although Android devices are fine and the security cameras are fine any apple devices hates it. Can take an hour of it trying different sections of the network to get any apple device to connect. Android stuff I can jump from wifi source to wifi source no problem. Usually setting a static ip works for keeping an apple device connected but not always and my square terminals you can find the mac address to make them have an internal static ip. I do my best but I'm not a pro at network administration

I have been playing on this laptop for a long time on consistent 60 fps with no issues. However, I downloaded War Thunder from Steam yesterday and it worked well, but after an hour the FPS dropped to 30 and got capped there for no reason. I restarted the game, restarted the PC, disabled V-sync from Nvidia control panel, and deleted the whole game and its driver. Still, the fps starts at 60 and then drops to 30 after some time on all games. Specs: CPU:I5-9300h GPU: GTX 1650 RAM: 8 GB SSD: 512 GB M.2 NVME Battery: Connected all time so no

Hello, if had this for quite a while and nothing i tried seemed to help. The Problem: whenever im playing games, the gpu usage spikes at random times to 100% even when the usage before that was like 30% and then the game crashes. It's only with some games and its not consistent, sometimes a game works for hours sometimes i cant even start it properly or change settings etc. Benchmarks work fine. sometimes an error message shows up saying the graphics driver has crashed. Tried solutions: Driver/ windows updates, fresh install of both with ddu, enabling disabling g sync,

My HP Pavilion 590 came with a 16GB m.2 SSD and a 1TB HDD. I'm trying to install a 128GB m.2 SSD from a previous computer. When I installed the 128GB m.2 the HDD is no longer recognized. All divers are up to date (I checked several times). Both drives show up in BIOS, but only the SSD shows up in disk management, device manager, ect. To try to figure this out I plugged the original 16GB m.2 back in and to my surprise the HDD shows up back up but it shows up as a combined Disk 0 under disk management. The 16GB m.2 is displayed as (D:) and the 1TB HDD displays as (C:), however it seems that the

Hello everyone, or for that matter anyone, I am new to this forum when it comes to engaging. I have always followed the topics and LTT videos however I have ran into a problem of my own that I may need help on. So I have a LG Gram 15Z980-U.AA55U1, and I have a reoccurring screen issue. I call the issue "bright pixels" because when ever I have any sort of white screen or white background on my laptop, certain areas of the screen are noticeably "whiter" or brighter in a way. It occurs in light shades of colors too so it is not just white. The problem also persists when I turn the bri

So I've had my RX570 for a while now and as of recently when I'm watching youtube or even some videos through mpv, there is a massive spike in usage. I didn't update any graphics drivers so I don't think that's an issue. I'll have these massive spikes when there's just 2 tabs open (Youtube and some reddit page) so there should be any background tabs or etc; using it so much. I have Chrome set to hardware accelerate but I'm not sure such high graphics usage for Youtube and Reddit is needed. I've attached a picture from the AMD performance tool since Task manager doesn't report usage properly (I

Hi, first time posting here! I just recently built my first ever PC and I started playing some Warzone on it but I'm running into this issue pretty consistently where parts of the map in my field of view is completely blacked out... It starts to render when I move towards those black spots or hover over them (see view for more detail). I've played around with my graphics settings, game settings, updated all of the drivers/BIOS and still haven't been able to resolve it. Has anyone ever seen this before or know what the root cause is? PC Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Hello, I know what's causing Linus' OBS to crap out like that, the CPU's getting overburdened by requests, to confirm that, you need Moo0 System Monitor (it's software I use myself, for a minimalist stats monitor and not affiliated in any way), which is the only one that I know of at least that has "CPU Loader", that will show you what's getting too many requests, on my system, it's usually 1 of my many chrome tabs that just fills that "CPU Loader" bar, when it does, chrome's just unusable, everything else still works as it should. R7 1700X and to make it easier on us, if you want
