Any suggestions on:

-SATA SSD?

-Graphics Cards (preferably ASUS; unless theres a 1080ti that's clearly better suited)

Any other suggestions for hardware/compatibility issues? Also builders tips and things to watch for? I'm a newbie : )]]

Extremely Appreciated!!

Why 7700k + Z270 and not 8700k + Z370?

Availability issues is my guess. Or perhaps budget issues

Don't know much about the Asus Z370 boards, but the Prime-A is one I see often.

@Princess Cadence knows a bit about boards.

@Princess Cadence HELP??!! Please

Hello there so you decided to go i7 8700k and a Z370? awesome! I can help you pick up a motherboard it only depends on you telling me how much you're willing to pay for it and what is your form factor of preference.

Also how far you wish to push memory and CPU overclocking? ^^

Have you decided on other components yet? if you tell me your country we could do a pcpartpicker list together ^^

Do you really feel the need for all 32gb of RAM? if this is just a high end gaming rig for streaming and hobbyist video editing you could live with just 16gb.

I also noticed you went for a common 4k60hz monitor and a 1440p 165hz, do you really feel the need for all that hz? aside a few high paced games there really is a much smaller sensitive feeling going above 100hz, having that in mind why not consider turn these 2 monitors on a single one that serves both purposes and get something like the Acer X34 3440x1440p100hz G-sync ultrawide?

Graphics card from Asus? it is a no brainer get the Rog Strix (To pair well with this monster system only get GTX 1080 / GTX 1080 Ti or Vega 64, consider ROG Strix for all)

Power supply is a bit exaggerated the 650w variant of the supernova G2 would be more than sufficient for this system.

I noticed you picked Razer peripherals that is a common mistake, Razer only has gaming marketing and no quality to back it up, if you want to spend on high quality peripherals Logitech and Corsair are the ones to go, I'd personally advise on the Logitech G810 for keyboard and Corsair M65 Pro for mice.

All the rest I have not mentioned is fine as it is.

Now about your motherboard, you do not have to run straight to the Maximums X, the ATX ROG STRIX Z370-E has the exact same components quality wise while been a bit cheaper due to less marketing on it.

If you have any doubt I'm more than happy to address!

Yes, the jump from 7th gen Kaby Lake to 8th gen Coffee Lake was the most meaningful in many years, so it is very very very advisable that you be patient to ensure a coffee lake based system.

The reason there is a short supply on the products simply is that Intel has launched it 4 months earlier than it should've(February) due to AMD Ryzen competition started winning too much market share, so the manufacturing of the 8th gen hardware is still limited to make time to get rid of the old stocks of the i7 7700k and Z270 chipset motherboards that now nobody wants.

Sadly people like yourself without knowing better might get this stuff when from the stand point of buying brand-new it already is obsolete.

perfect. can you list the advantages? Very much appreciated for your time

The advantages of the motherboard? xD

Well I'm not being paid by Asus to list it or any thing xD but basically the best VRMs the best power feeding, it is a board meant to push 5ghz+ on the i7 and to overclock memory to their rated speeds.

Great UEFI too
