My entire hope for the Xbox One X is that it causes a PS4 Pro price drop, is that bad? :)

That's not bad lol.

I just want to see how well it can really run games at 4K...

I'm in the same boat. I want a Pro, but I want it cheaper. I won't use it as much, basically to play HZD so far.

I mean, outside of Halo, almost every Xbox game is on PC.  And I have an i7 3770K with 8GB Radeon R9 390X as an HTPC hooked up to my 4K TV that basically goes toe to toe with the Xbox One X in 4K gaming. (Except for HDR)

Meanwhile, the PS4 has lots of neat Japanese developed exclusives that are unlikely to see PC ports.  So between the two, the PS4 Pro has software I want.

Id assume okay for this one reason.

There going to run 2160p Low and medium  maybe 1 or 2 high mixed settings. With 4k Textures cranked Ultra because this will make games get decent framerates and look very crisp and clean. this is why there is 12gb of ram For the Textures.

Otherwise you take a RX480/580 or 1060 6gb and try 4k high & ultra settings. doesnt work.

I say this mainly because this is what i do with my 970 & 290. looks way better then 1080p ultra  in most regards depending on the games but takes a lot of tweaking for each individual game making it look the best with good perf. but due to the devs only making one profile they can spend a lot of time doing this

Price to performance of it is not too bad considering a $500 computer is a little difficult to get a 1060 6gb and thats what youll need to equal it in most regards
