Is the GeiL EVO Forza RED GFR416GB3000C15ADC (non ryzen version) compatible with ryzen 1600 and x370 gaming 5? Its a steal at 100 bucks right now and I want to buy it.

Ryzen seems to not like odd CAS timings sometimes, but it would likely work fine as long as your BIOS is updated to support AGESA 1.0.0.6 or higher on the motherboard.

90% of chips will hit 2933. Anything over that is a bigger problem

 

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM
