Selling my pc, don't know a good price.

I've been in the market for a new PC for a while now, and want to sell my current one to help out with the costs. Before you yell at me, I do realize this PC is still viable, I just want something for 1440p/4k.

Specs of the PC I'm selling:

CPU - i5-4690k @ 4.2Ghz

Cooler - Corsair H60

GPU - MSI GTX 970

Motherboard - MSI Z97 (PC Mate I think?)

Memory - G.Skill Ares 16GB (DDR3 2400)

Storage: ZOTAC 120GB SSD / WD Blue 1TB

Case: NZXT Source 210

Out first I felt $650 was reasonable, but as I only pay attention to new-age hardware prices and couldn't give a rats ass about the old stuff, I actually have no idea what this system is worth. Any recommendations for prices?

Also, the PC is only about 2 years old, maybe 3. Don't know the exact date I got it.

You could defiantly get $650 out of that, with the overclock, and the SSD. Not sure how much more than that you could get though. You also may wanna consider combos, like mobo + cpu, or HDD + SSD, and also parting out. Some people may be just interested in the SSD, but at the same time selling that part by itself will make the system as a whole less appealing.

*Sigh* this is so simple.

  1. Go to your local classifieds.
  2. Compare pricing of similar systems.
  3. Price accordingly.
  4. Sell.
  5. Profit.

Our guesses of what it'll sell for where you are won't help you.

id agree and say at least 650, maybe try it with a reserve at 600 if its a case of wanting new stuff now for the next rig  tho
