Huawei

Why is Huawei so underrated in the US? Their phones have the best price/performance in the us. You can get a Mate 9 for $450 and it will beat the specs of a $800 iPhone 7 plus...

Apple is the king of advertising, with Samsung coming second. Huawei doesn't have much chance of breaking through this in the US unless they start seriously pushing carriers to sell their phones. They also are impacted by their cheap phones because people will compare their £100 Huawei with a £600 iPhone and conclude that Apple make better phones.

Personally, I wouldn't buy from Huawei because of the hefty skin and all the preinstalled apps which take up space and performance.

I edit my posts a lot.

Apple is better at advertising, and is an American company. That will hold a lot of weight with a lot of people. Huawei was also banned from government organizations because of their ties with the Chinese government, yet another reason people don't trust them. Finally, there's the fact that it's Android vs iOs, and some people just prefer Apple.

If Huawei gave me a reason to buy their phones, I might consider. However, I'm at the point of my life where I don't believe I'll ever buy another smartphone until my S8 dies.

No one cares about specs. They care about screen, cases, and brands

Someone that understands the average consumer. The issue is that cases and brands go hand in hand. All the big case companies usually only stock the typical apple and samsung with the occasional pixel or LG case.

My girlfriend refuses to buy a phone if she can't find cases she likes, could be the best phone ever made but if there's no nice cases she's not buying it. She's more than likely one of thousands with that mindset.
