Is it

0.33 = 16 t^2 + 5.92 + 0.1 ft   ?!?

oh ... those americans .... fucking feet ....

I guess it should be

0 = 16 t^2 + 5.92 t - 0.23 (depending what unit the speed has in this example)

t = 0.04

Don't worry buddy, if you go to a University you will have this, but it's easier when you use proper units (eg. Metrics).

And by at the university I meant, like physics stuff with the speed and acceleration and distances calculations like shown in the picture.

Transpose to this form: 0=ax^2+bx+c

i.e. move the 0.33 over.

Then use this formula (the quadratic formula):

x=(-b+/-sqrt(b^2-4ac)/2a

Wow cool. Dat formula makes perfect sense and is actually easier to use than the onr you learn here in germany! :D

Yeah, 5th year, after your birth? after your tenth birthday, after your death? What is it based on?

Common it's like I say to you, I did this kind of thing in "Seconde" in a French "Lycee"... You don't get that either do you? (EDIT: I did that earlier than this specific year, but it's an example).

5 year of school as in 5th "grade"

As in value it's kinda common sense really

And I know not only the us uses this as so did a small Canadian school I once attended

But do you know of a continent called Europe?

You know the people using the metric units system. Well, I am European, and I don't use the same system for school and other things as North-America.

(British people, they might use it, but they live on an independant island that doesn't use common European standards)
