Don't connect to the Internet

"I'm so glad you're my partner in crime."

"It's the power of best friendship, I know how you roll."

"Chloe, my powers might not last."

"Ready for the mosh pit, shaka brah?"

"Yes, we'd be tearing up the highway. And you'd probably want me to kiss you again..."

"I always wanted my life to be special... an adventure... but not without you."

"Because we're back in action again!"

"With great power comes great bullshit."

"Max you are not crazy. You are not dreaming. It’s time to be an everyday hero."

"I wish I could stay in this moment forever. I guess I actually can now, but then it wouldn’t be a moment."

"If that tornado came right now, I would just sit here and watch for a while."

"You're right. We hella deserve this. Splish splash."

"Can we build another pirate fort and keep the world out?"

"When a door closes, a window opens... Or, something like that."

"Listen, whatever happens, I want you to be strong. Even if you feel like I wasn't there for you because I will never abandon you Chloe. I'll always have your back. Always."

Yes.  Most of the discussion I see nowadays revolves around protecting guests from each other and protecting a guest from a compromised host.  This is where stuff like Intel SGX come in that I really know nothing about.

Xzibit would show up at your house and accuse you of stealing his trademark.

If you're gonna use the internet on a VM at least invest in a VPN or something.

I have an idea, and this might sound radical, but why not just pay for Netflix and maybe quality VPN rather than "streaming" in first place? No fear of virus', no headaches about VM setup and you would be better person overall.

Nothing. There are VM escapes all over place. It's generally pretty secure as is, but there's not a lot you can do. If you are using the VM for normal use, then just run it like a normal computer. If you are doing other stuff, then let's hear about it.

True. However, the fact that some can should be worrying.

VMs can be broken out of, just like sandboxes.

This is why @AnonymousGuy said to not use bridged networking, but that doesn't entirely solve the problem. This issue of LAN stuff will be harder to fix.

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

If your VM gets infected and it's not malware that has a payload capable of breaking out of the VM, then you just delete the VM and start again.

But if you're really that paranoid about malware, the only way to protect a PC is to air gap it and never put it on a network. Among other security nuances that are more trouble than the average person's time is worth.
