You've got it all backwards :P

Based on that picture, upper left two pins should be Power LED + then -, next to that is the power switch, then there will be a big space, and 4 pins on the right top, those are for the speaker.

Hard to see but speaker is on the top

It’s a Gigabyte X370 Gaming 5. Are you telling me that any 4 pin will work? There is another four pin I see right now that says sys fan pump

It's usually not wise to use the 4 pin meant for the pump. You have another two system fan connectors on the bottom of the board and one in the top left. Can you reach one of those?

As for the front panel connectors:

The bottom left is fine, above that sohuld be the power LED, to the right of that (horizontal) should be the power switch and below that reset.

Yah, based on that it should go

PLED+,PLED-,PWSW+,PWSW-, empty space, Speaker

HD+,HD-,RST-,RST+

(Power and reset don't matter for + and -, I know you don't have reset but just for informational purposes :) )

If I remember right, the wire with the triangle is the positive?

Also, all I have is HDD LED and the PLED ones... should I have more?

Nope, that's fine. Just so long as you have a Power Switch one as well :P

The CI is for chassis intrusion, speaker is for an external speaker for boot codes, and the bottom right is for a 3-pin LED which you don't have (never seen a case that does have one of those)

You had it in an earlier picture, it's labeled Power SW :)

I already have SW in, power button still doesn’t do anything

Hmmm, does the LED light up to show that there is power?

Well it works to turn it off now, I still have to push this power on button on my mobo to turn it on

I think I know the issue.

I think (I can barely make it out) you have the Power LED split and one on each side of the Power SW, is that correct?

If so, you need to shift the entire PowerSW to the right one and put the two PowerLED pins directly next to each other.

Hmmm, the LEDs are the ones where orientation matters. On one side of the plastic you'll see a little triangle, that's the positive side, that side should be on the left.

Thanks a ton man... seriously. Had a lot of trouble today and I’m glad I figured it out. First ever PC build coming from someone who played console. I can’t wait to see how a R7 1700 and Gtx 1080 pair up with a 1440p G-Sync monitor. I can’t thank you enough, seriously.

The AE means it cannot find a boot device, which is normal since you most likely didn't install Windows yet :)
