Thanks a ton man... seriously. Had a lot of trouble today and I’m glad I figured it out. First ever PC build coming from someone who played console. I can’t wait to see how a R7 1700 and Gtx 1080 pair up with a 1440p G-Sync monitor. I can’t thank you enough, seriously.

That's an excellent combo, it should definitely serve you very well :)

And your cable management looks pretty decent from the pics I saw.

Next week, you'll tear it all apart and do a full custom hardline tubing config right? xD

Of course, who doesn’t do custom tubing on their first PC a week after they build it? :D

This is the cables from the back, pretty horrendous but I’m not too sure what to do lol

-snip-

That's actually pretty good IMO :)

If the back panel fits without bulging out or having to clamp it shut, you've done a good job, lol.

Haha I’m pretty OCD. I need to clean up the BIG psu cables then I’ll be good :) again, if there’s anything I can do to help your rep or anything let me know, it’s little but I don’t have much to offer. I’ll let you know how everything else goes :)

Nah, knowing that I could help get everything working is awesome and more than enough for me :)

Hopefully the Windows install goes smoothly. Don't forget to install all the drivers from the Gigabyte website and then update the BIOS.

I hope it does too, I have the product key and also a flash drive. I can’t wait to see how it runs

Install the GPU drivers first, then get everything else. Let Windows do it's updates and reboot as needed after that. Windows loves to install crappy GPU drivers a lot of the time so I try to deal with those first, it also saves update time since it won't try to download some old drivers for the GPU to install :)

Wait so windows first, then gpu drivers, then bios n stuff? Also, where do I plug my flash drive in? Motherboard or top of case?

It doesn't matter, as long as you got your front us hooked up right, any usb port will work.

I got it to work :) installing windows right now. Any suggestions when it comes to booting and stuff like that?

Nothing that comes to mind for tweaks to windows that don't come down to personal preference.
