Upgrade 6800K to 8700K

Hey all what's your thoughts on upgrading a 6800K to 8700K? I have not seen any straight comparison. 

 

Worth it? Or wait for 10nm cannonlake?

You're really only getting some more per core performance, IMO not worth it, unless you only do gaming at a high refresh rate, or high resolution or are just not happy with your current performance.

If you have nothing to do with your money then sure :) If not I'd wait for cannonlake

well, if you are going to buy a 8700k you have to buy a new z370 motherboard. Because the 8th gen cpu are NOT compatible with the older versions.

Not worth it at all... you will be losing too much for minor gains in gaming (even then it is questionable since you need to have high refresh rate monitor to even take advantage of the few extra FPS).

If you play at high refresh rates 144+ and need the extra fps out of ur 1080 ti +  then yes otherwise no
