I want to buy a modular psu that provides more than 1200w. It will be used to power several r9 290s that will be mining litecoins so YES I do need such a powerful psu. Any suggestions?

Why do i always get blue screens? Why not a red one for a change?

Just a couple of R9-290's?, I highly doubt you'll need 1,200w or more, I think 850w should be fine unless you are going to put 3 or 4 in a system

I'm with @FireFox, unless you're gonna put 4 in it I don't think you need 1200 watts

I am going to use at least 2 for now, possibly 4 after a month. I would like not to spend too much on the psu. Prices?

If you are willing to spend THAT much money on four R9--290's but want to cheap out on the PSU...then you've reeeeeaaaallllly need to sit down, think this through, and figure your priorities out.

Spend $1,600+ on graphics cards, but not wanting to spend $200 - $350 on a PSU...

You cheap out on a power supply, and you could lose ALL your R9-290's (or even more)...and end up with a $1600+ doorstop...

I don't want to cheap out with the psu, just to avoid any unneeded costs. I wanted to go for the lepa but the price increased from 280 to 330. I will probably still go for it. I am going to buy all the stuff from the usa. The psu should work fine on 220v european ac, right?

Why do i always get blue screens? Why not a red one for a change?
