Asus 1070 vs evga 1070

Hey does any1 know if  the asus strix 1070 is alot bigger than the evga sc 1070?, cus i travel alot with the pc, worried about Potential sag or damage to the pci slot (though it is steel reinforced

steel reinforcement dosent really help as long as you screw in the card right, and depending on how far, and how much you travel, dismounting the GPU and stuffing a pillow in there might be my preferd way of doing it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

If the impact the PC takes is enough to damage it with the Asus Strix card then it probably will do the same with the EVGA SC card.

If you travel alot u are better dismounting the graphics before putting it in the car jn case vibration takes a toll

but asus runs a 3 fan design over evga’s sc/ftw two fan design so it is slightly longer but both cards afaik are 2 slot design (the 2.5 slot only became a concern wih the 1080ti strix which i have)

i do wrap it in a cloth to take the vibration away and lift it carefully to the car i try to be as gentle as possible

When traveling you should just remove the gpu

Just buy a single fan GTX 1070 made for mITX builds, they are light and you wont need to swap out your GPU while travelling.
