Do you think it's balanced? If not, what do you think I should replace/improve?

Locked i5 with z97 doesn't make that much sense, but the big one is your gpu is pretty weak.

Yeah that's right but I did not have any idea what locked CPU's were when I put this together. I'll try get a gtx-1080 later but what cpu makes sense with a z97 board then?

Upgrade your CPU/Moterboard to Coffee-Lake, which would require DDR4 RAM as well.

 

If you are only a 1080p gamer upgrade the GTX 750ti last 

 

Your RAM and storage is not balanced with your GPU and CPU. Your NVMe drive is limited by the Z97 chipset and you have to do some crazy workloads to use 32gb of RAM.

Wait till coffeelake releases and get a used 4790k for cheap(ish).

 

Pair that with a 1070/1080 and you're good to go.

So I should basically upgrade everything? Mobo would be the last thing I'd want to upgrade because then I'd have to change everything else.

From what you have right now the only CPU upgrade you should look at is a 4790k. Gpu upgrade is more important though.

don't worry about that guy, like others said 4790k and gpu upgrade and you'll be golden.  nvme drives don't provide much speed improvement for most things, but I'd guess you didn't spend much more than a sata 3 ssd drive costs anyway so no worries

Better off getting 4790K, Coffee Lake not worth it.
