So I heard that Raspberry Pi 3 can stream 1080p?

Handsonic

Let's make an assumption, like I want to live stream something at 1080p using OBS, can Raspberry Pi 3 handle that?

e.g. a SNES Gameplay via YouTube using OBS at 1080p ?

I NEED TO KNOW!

no. not with reasonable compression size and quality, and with 60fps.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Might want to change the title to something less click baity and more straight to the point. 'Raspberry Pi 3 for 1080p stream to OBS' would be better

so it was a lie?! I'm not sure, I heard people use it as servers? But I have my doubts regarding memory, I do not think that a SD card can actually handle 24/7 that well?

He's not saying it's a lie. Just you wouldn't be able to do it in good quality and with 60fps. Just get an emulator and stream that...

yeah servers most of the time don't use up too much resources

well you can, but the gains with compression won't be as good as with an actual desktop

it's better than trying to do uncompressed, but it probably won't be able to process 1080p 60fps without dropping all the frames while having almost none compression

you can use it as a server, well as a small sever, for yourself. don't expect a rpi3 to even handle 10 people on minecraft, or any modded minecraft. file server maybe?

there are USB ports, use them!

It's a $35 computer. Asking it to stream good 1080p is like asking for a nice steak for McDonald's pricing.
