Running a Sata Drive over a Sd Card slot

Guest

I know back when Pata drives were popular you could get a CF to Pata converter because they spoke the same Command protocol is the same thing possible with SD and Sata? SD and Pata? or are they competly different.

SD runs over the USB bus, not the SATA bus, and is a completely different protocol.

They're completely different. SD uses its own protocol.

I'm at a loss as to why anyone would want to do this when they could just do it with a USB adapter for a few bucks instead. o.O
