No Nonsense - Ryzen Build

Vue802

Disregarding RGB and fancy components, I aimed to build a PC that exemplified function over form. The monochromatic components will hopefully allow for some cool fluids in the future. Please let me know what you think!

Hardware:

  • Case - Fractal Design: Define C [ATX]
  • Motherboard - Asus Crosshair VI Hero
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 1800x 4.0/3.6GHZ 8 Core 16 Thread
  • GPU - Geforce GTX 1080Ti GDDR5X 11GB [Gigabyte FE]
  • RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4 3000 [4 x 8GB]
  • Storage - Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD
  • PSU - Corsair 850RMx
  • Cables - Ensourced Custom Cables [Graphite]

Watercooling:

  • Radiator 1 - EKWB Coolstream 360 PE
  • Radiator 2 - EKWB Coolstream 240 PE
  • CPU Block - EKWB Supremacy EVO AMD Acetal+Nickel
  • GPU Block - EKWB FC1080 GTX Ti Acetal+Nickel
  • Reservoir - EKWB RES X3 110
  • Pump - EKWB XTOP Revo D5 PWM
  • Coolant - EKWB CryoFuel Clear.
  • Fans - EKWB Vardar F4 120
  • Tubing - Bitspower PETG 14mm OD
  • Fittings - Bitspower Various Fittings

Even while disregarding looks, it looks amazing. Great colour scheme, no lights.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

This looks absolutely amazing. I wish to do something like this in the future, but having RGB incorporated into the monochromatic look somehow. That way, you can have it off if you want the sleek aesthetic, but on if you're feeling a bit wild.

Well then I'd love to see what you can make when you want it to look good then xD This is far better than 99% of PCs out there, even the ones where looks was a priority, you know that right?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Thank you very much for the kind words! Don't get me wrong, I tried to build an appealing PC. But it's the piece of mind when having a functional, efficient, build that was the real driving force behind this.

This build isn't quite function over form but it is visually appealing.

Thanks! There will always be room to improve. :)

Looks really nice and clean, well done. ?

If it weren't for a small bit of reflection off the M.2 cooler I would have sworn this photo was taken in black and white.
