I can think of one way. put a DNS server on your computer that forwards to an external one like 8.8.8.8 and then set your modem to use your computer as DNS. All queries should go to your computer if others have not manually changed any DNS settings in their computers.

Seems like it would work, but all of this kinda seems like an invasion of privacy, so have that in mind. Also there are always workarounds that people being "monitored" will find out.

Ion (Main Build)                                                                                        Overall Setup

you actually have to check with your local laws about traffic monitoring

and you have to have a TOS agreement like you see at a mcdonalds or hotel wifi before people log on becuase it can be very illegal to monitor their traffic without their knowledge even if it's your own network.

My network. As in my home wifi network.

Any only my family uses it. Well I would hope so. We don't even allow friends to use the WiFi. Due to previous pirecy concernes

see now if you typed home network it might have worked better.

I just assume someone who wants to monitor "their" network would be monitoring a public network at "their" business which would make sense. what makes less sense is monitoring their own families network which is kinda messed up.

Yes, making sure little kids aren't vising sites they don't need to is a very very bad thing.

Maybe ask questions before assuming? It can Save a whole lot of missunderstanding.

I would of said company or business network not "my" network.

Company's can be ran for home too.

maybe type more than a single sentence in your original post. "It can Save a whole lot of missunderstanding."

It's fine though I remember when i first learned how to talk to other humans it was a struggle for me too.

Seems you still struggle. Can't be talked down to without having to get a protective and step into ad hominem attacks.

If I had a company I would of went with one of the many monitering company's Like lightspeed.

You act like im dumb when I was thinking people on here would realize I was talking about my own private network becase secretly monitering a public internet or company internet can be illegal without a notice.

I guess you have to talk like no one has ever has any experience in the subject. Funny because posing on a tech fourm you'd think only knolagable and experienced people would reply. Not just your anyday kid who read something on Google two years ago and trys to write it from memoey and fails.

Never said I don't want them to go on sites.

Just would like to see what they do. I found a bag full of gunpowder or like firework powder and other weird stuff/home made weapons. I assume he used the internet to find to do whatever he is doing. He won't say anything

And his computer is clean of anything. No history even his my activity page on Google is cleaned out.

I sympathize with your plight here, however attacking people on this forum who really are just trying to get to the bottom of your query to further help you is not going to work. I am not a parent and wish you the best in getting to the bottom of a very worrying issue you have. If i can find the time i will try to post my version of a solution for your issue however the "DNS" solution at the top seems similar to what I would do.

Would my PC need to be on 24/7 for it to log them?

Pi hole is a DNS server built to block ads but it also has a really cool Web UI where you can track stats like that.

This may be obvious but just stating, this will cover any network device including phones, but if they have a phone and use mobile data, you wont see anything obviously.

Yes, if you are pointing all of your networks traffic to go through your PC it would have to be constantly on or your internet connection would no longer work properly (or for most users at all).

@Ampix0 might have hit the nail on the head for you though.

Looking at it it seems it's Linux only? Is it made to only work with a raspberry pi?
