how are there already used 7900xs?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Actually the i9 7900x is an awesome processor considering last gen... but not impressive on current gen, people who can justify the high spend due to professional use are attempted going either of Intel and AMD higher ends.

i managed to sell my 4790k, m/b and my ram for 600 usd.

I believe it's a good deal since i don't want to spend so much money for upgrade.

Get a TR processor and an x399 board and spend less money than you would with an intel CPU and board.

Alright, well since this is LTT it takes eight posts for someone to actually answer your question.

(It's amazing I've started three consecutive threads, all with 10+ replies, NONE of which come even close to touching on the question that was actually asked. Just lines of people injecting their irrelevant opinions, such as everything above this post)

Yes, I think that is a very good deal for that Mobo + CPU combo. Both of those parts are pretty much brand new, so getting that few hundred dollars off is pretty swag.  (<---- Answer to your question)

However, I do recommend looking into a Threadripper setup. You may be able to find a better performing machine for the same price, if you can find new parts. You'll have to do your own research on your market, I'm from the US and can't help you there.

Happy hunting.

You got good money for your old stuff and the 7900x + MB deal is priced nicely. Go forth and do great things man!

Most advice you'll receive here will be based on opinions obtained elsewhere and not necessarily first hand experience.

You know if the deal is legit it ain't that bad at all, you wouldn't have to upgrade any thing on your computer for years to come considering you have a 1080ti.

It is after all an awesome processor as already said, completely overkill to any game in the next 5 years for sure
