How to read windows product key on laptop

Hi, i own an old laptop which is in its final days and is running windows 10 home upgraded from windows its a viao laptop and i want to copy the key to use it in future how can i do so+ atleast before it dies save me few bucks in future. Thanks in Advance

you can't reuse the windows keys.

There's a sticker on the bottom, but yeah I think they bind to some serial number in your system (the motherboard I think?) so It probably wont do you much good.

i know that you can enter something into command prompt and it will read out the key for you but not too sure if you acually will be able to reuse the key

I'm not sure if this works in this case and if i'm wrong @JDE Pls correct me but can't you link the key to your MS account and just sign in with your MS account on the new PC

Your WIn10 license is locked to your Motherboard. If you have a Non-OEM version of WIn10 you can re-use it to up to 5 pcs. 

If it is an OEM version you cannot reuse it.
