GTX 1070 only using 1 GB of 8 GB in games

Hey everybody,

I mainly play overwatch and cs:go and gpu usage is only about 1000 - 1500 mb in game. I have a zotac Gtx 1070 Mini. Any suggestions?

~Am I the only who thinks that Dwayne Johnson looks like the rock? o.O

Those games aren't exactly VRAM intensive. If you play something like Sniper Elite 4 I'm sure you'd get a good deal more used up.

Is your performance, frametimes and fps all acceptable? If so, and your in game graphics settings are maxed out... then there is nothing wrong. CS:GO and Overwatch are designed to be easy for low end GPU's to run well and you have a high end GPU, so those games should run at very high fps with your GPU.

It will use what it needs, those games dont need alot of Vram anyway. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Every program will only use as much as it needs, not every game will fill your VRAM. Actually the goal is to have a graphics card with enough VRAM that it doesn't get filled up by anything.
