WTF! Microsoft just decided to put a password on my windows?

Spuddy0108

-I wake up and boot the pc to start my day as has been the ritual for 20 years.

-I'm greeted with a wallpaper, my REAL first and last name and my google email and a password box.

-I go WTF!

-I try to continue without putting a password, no cigar.

-i type in my google password because it had my google email above it, wrong password of course.

-Now I'm stuck, locked out of my own pc and i have to work on it.

Anyone know how to fix this? It is also weird how Microsoft knows my real name. I never ever used my real name online or even on my pc offline, always a false name. I run spybot antibeacon to block Microsoft ip's and also donotspy10. i also deleted most apps including the windows app store

You probably signed into your Microsoft account. If you don't remember that password, reset it on another PC.

I edit my posts a lot.

Try resetting password for a Microsoft account that uses your google email.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

Quote

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Call Microsoft or do an online chat (I'd recommend that because it is less of a wait and costs practically nothing) and see if they'll lift it or something, not sure how all this happened because that is the definition of creepy as all heck.

Why Are We Still Here? Just to Suffer?

Something's similar happened to me when I signed into the Xbox app. Do you have Xbox live? Skype? Any accounts you recently signed into?

if OP gave someone access to the computer, either physically or remotely, that can happen..
but windows does not generate a password on your account out of the blue or anything like that.. it has to be done by someone, or being infected by a virus or something

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?
